Darth Vader, a Pen Sketch

Here is my favorite character from Star Wars, as I drew him in 1990. If it had not been for the inspiration of Vader's mask, I never would have learned to draw. True story! I was so inspired to draw Vader when I first saw Star Wars in 1977. I couldn't draw a stick figure then!

I forced myself at 11 years old to try and draw the Helmet of Vader. I tried for many months, when all I could do was scribble and make circles. The day came when I was finally able to draw Vader! I had triumped, and became an artist! I have been drawing ever since then! Maybe when I am brave enough I will show the original Vader drawing I did at 11. It really sucks, but hey.... at the time I thought it was great!
